I think getting a glimpse at some very statuesque (ba dap chuu 😉 ) monuments in Copenhagen is a great way to start off your day. Made even better when seeing them in the fading sunset light!

Fire Lanterns
They’re kinda cool flickering in the wind and stuff 🙂
Boats are cool, Sailboats are cooler!
Notice the Little Things
Like these tiny bolts. Everything was frozen in the dead of winter, but these were still gleaming and doing their job of keeping the boat together.

Look Through
Windows are great for looking through! Such great things to look at, whether you’re inside looking out or the other way around/
Dads and Statues
Afraid of heights?
My apartment in Copenhagen was on the 7th floor. That may not seem terribly high, but when the buildings around you are not generally more than 5-6 stories, it feels like you’re king of the world!
Bright Endings
The stairs taken to get to this entrance were a long and steep journey. But the view once we got there was incredible! If one wanted to make it a metaphor, it could even go something like, “The journey may be dark and arduous, and the ending unknown, but the outcome will be worth the effort.” That is, if one wanted to philosophical about it 😉
Amalienborg Castle
So some water, some ice, big stinking deal, right? Just some big fat canal that she’s posting again. But this is not just another domed old building, this is one of the official  residences for the royal family of Denmark, notably the winter residence. NBD, just another castle. Except this is on the harbor, overlooking the hundreds of ships going in and out on a regular basis, and it has an incredible history.
